Mrs. Nelson is buying

batteries. A 4-pack of AA
batteries costs $2.99 and a
10-pack of AA batteries
costs $6.30. How much less
per battery does the 10-
pack cost than the 4-pack?
If necessary, round each
unit price to the nearest
cent.

I am a college student
If a 4 pack of AA cost 2.99 that is 0.74 for one battery
If a 10 pack of AA cost 6.30 that is 0.63 for one battery
That is 0.11 less than a 4pack

Answer: 12 cents less

Explanation:

First you need to divide $ 6.30 by 10

and get 63 cents per battery.

Next you divide 2.99 by 4 and the number you'll get is 0.7475 cents per battery. However we're going to round our answer to 0.75 cents because the 7 is on the right of the 4 and if a number is 5 or higher then you round up.

Lastly you subtract 0.75 by 0.63

It should look like this:

0.75 - 0.63 = 12 cents

I hope this helped. :)
