We can see in these 2 equations they equal the same thing which is y so we can set the 2 equations equal to each other like this


4x-5=2x-6

Subtract 2x from both sides


2x-5= -6

Add 5 to both sides


2x= -1

Divide both sides by 2


x= -0.5

Now we can replace x with -0.5 in one of the equations and will put it in the first equation to find y


y=4(-0.5)-5\\y= -2-5\\y= -7

So the system of equation solution is (-0.5,-7)
