In a certain Algebra 2 class of 27 students, 11 of them play basketball and 13 of them play baseball. There are 5 students who play neither sport. What is the probability that a student chosen randomly from the class plays basketball or baseball?

Answer:

22/27

Explanation:

There are 27 students and 11 play basketball and 13 play basketball and 5 play neither.

I realized a problem is that 11+13+5≠27, so I assumed some people play both sports.

If 5 don't play either sport, then 22 play Baseball or basketball.

22/27 play baseball or basketball,

So the probability is 22/27.

This may not be correct because of the problem mentioned earlier or there is something wrong with the problem, but hopefully, I helped.
