Answer: 40 snowstorms

Explanation:

Please read this to understand how to complete this question in the future, I am not answering this question for you to just copy the answer and cheat!

65 percent of the snowstorms caused power outages

14 of the snowstorms did not.

if 65 percent caused power outages 35 percent did not, as 100 percent is the total amount of snowstorms,

Therefore, 35 percent = 14.

To find one percent, we divide 14 by 35

= 0.4

We know what 35 percent is: 14

We need to find the extra 65 percent

To do this, we multiply one percent, 0.4, by 65

=26

Now, to get 100 percent we add 26 and 14.

26+14 = 40

Therefore, there were 40 snowstorms in the city over the 4 year period.

Hope this helped, have an awesome day!
