Volcanic eruptions and earthquakes are a natural forces that affect the physical features of the earth. North America is made up of the Caribbean, Mexico, Central America, Greenland, United States of America and Canada. Most of North America is located in the Northern latitude and has a temperate climate. North America is surrounded by the Atlantic Ocean, Pacific Ocean and the Arctic Ocean. The longest river in North America is the Missouri-Mississippi river. The only two states not connected to America are Alaska and Hawaii. Hills, mountains and plains are all examples of land forms. Weathering is the process that wears away soil, stone or the earth. The condition of the atmosphere over a long period of time is called Climate (long-term) , and at a given point in time or over a short period of time it is called weather (short-term). Temperate weather allows for forests such as plants, shrubs and trees to grow. Producers use the resources of North America to make goods and produce services that people want. This allows the buyer and seller to be a part of the economy.
