Triangle JLK is congruent to triangle MLN by HL

What is HL?

HL stands for the Hypotenuse-Leg congruence criterion, which is a condition used to prove that two right-angled triangles are congruent.

The Hypotenuse-Leg criterion states that if the hypotenuse and one leg of one right-angled triangle are congruent to the hypotenuse and the corresponding leg of another right-angled triangle, then the two triangles are congruent.

The hypotenuse for the two right triangles are JK ≅ MN while the other leg is LK ≅ LN
