Maria is camping when she starts to smell smoke. She turns on her radio and hears that a forest fire is heading her way. She quickly packs up her gear and leaves the area. How do the organs in Maria's nervous system work together to help her detect and respond to danger? How do her nervous system and other organ systems interact to keep her safe? Include at least three organs in the nervous system and five organ systems in your response.

Answer:

Her nervous system will send signals to tell her arms and legs to start moving. Her respiratory system will increase her breathing rate, the extra oxygen will be delivered throughout the circulatory system to her body tissues, her muscles will start to interact with her skeletal system for movement.
