The expression that represents the area of the square are;

C. (2x + 4)²

E. 4(x + 2)²

F. 4x² + 16x + 16

A square is a quadrilateral with all sides equal. The area of a square is expressed as;

A = l²

where l is the length of the square.

Since the side length is (2x + 4) then the expression for the area can be ;

1. A = (2x + 4)²

2. We can expand (2x + 4)²

= (2x + 4)(2x + 4)

= 4x + 16x + 16

3. (2x + 4)²

= (2( x + 2))²

= 4 ( x + 2)²
