Let the Numbers be X and X-4,

now.

we know that product of both number is 2.

therefore .

X(X-4) = 2

X²- 4X = 2

X² - 4X - 2 = 0

by solving this equation we gets,

x=(4+√24)/2=2+√6=4.449

and

x=(4-√24)/2=2-√6=-0.449

[ By using Quadratic Formula]

So that's the answer....
