The values of the composite functions are:

f(g(4)) = 2

the value of g(f(2)) is 9.

the value of f(f(3)) is 5.

the value of g(g(8)) is 9.

How value of a composite function can be determined.

In the table of values provide

The first column are x values

second column are f(x) values

Third column are g(x) values

We first find value of the inner function (g(x) for f(g(x))) and then find value of outer function (f(x) for f(g(x)))

a) f(g(4))

From the table

g(4) = 3

then

f(3) = 2

so, f(g(4)) = 2

b) g(f(2))

f(2) = 5

then,

g(5) = 9

Therefore, the value of g(f(2)) is 9.

c) f(f3))

f(3) = 2

then,

f(2) = 5

Therefore, the value of f(f(3)) is 5.

d) find the value of g(g(8))

g(8) = 5

then,

g(5) = 9

so, the value of g(g(8)) is 9.

Therefore, f(g(4)) = 2

the value of g(f(2)) is 9.

the value of f(f(3)) is 5.

the value of g(g(8)) is 9.
