The linear equation in the graph is:

y = -6x - 1

How to find the equation?

A general linear equation is written as:

y = ax + b

Where a is the slope, and b is the y-intercept.

We can see in the graph that the line passes through (0, -1), thus the y-intercept is -1

y = ax - 1

We also can see that the line passes through (1, -7), replacing these values we get:

-7 = a*1 - 1

-7 +1 = a

-6 = a

The linear equation is:

y = -6x - 1
