In a thesis statement, make sure to restate or interpret the prompt. By doing this, set it so that you can write your claim. This claim (or several) will be outline for your body paragraphs. The more specific the better and make sure to express deeper thought. One way to do this is adding a refutation in your statement (this depends on how well it fits with the prompt). In all, restate the prompt and give your opinion/claims that will be the foundation for the rest of your paper. I’m not sure if this is the exact answer you needed but hope this helps.
