Answer:

1/2 M1 V1^2 = 1/2 M2 V2^2 equal Kinetic Energy

M1 V1^2 = M2 V2^2

M1 V1 / (M2 V2) = V2 / V1

Since P (momentum) = M V

P1 / P2 = V2 / V1 Equation (1)

V2 / V1 = (M1 / M2)^1/2 from the first equation

V2 / V1 = (2 / 5)^1/2 = .63

P1 / P2 = .63 from Equation (1) where 1 refers to 2 kg
