The value of x and y are 45 and 30 respectively

Isosceles triangle are triangles with two equal sides and equal corresponding angles.

The two triangles are isosceles triangles.

The value of x in the small triangle will be

x + x + 90 = 180

2x = 180 - 90

2x = 90

x = 90/2

x = 45

In the bug triangle, the base angles are equal and they are calculated as;

represent the base angles by a

30 + a + a = 180

2a = 180 - 30

2a = 150

a = 150/2

a = 75

a = x + y

75 = 45 + y

y = 75 - 45

y = 30

Therefore the value of x and y are 45 and 30 respectively.
