She has just completed Question 24 and the progress bar shows she is 40% complete. How many total questions are on the test? Use a table, diagram, or equation to justify your answer. The total number of questions that are on the test is equal to 60 questions.

In Mathematics, a percentage is any number that is expressed as a fraction of hundred (100).

Let the variable T represent the total number of questions.

In order to determine the number or quantity which represents the total number of questions, we would apply the following mathematical equation (formula);

Quantity = percent × total number of questions

24 = 40/100 × T

2400 = 40T

T = 2400/40

T = 60 questions.
