The biggest cause for the situation was C. drought and poor farming techniques
What caused the Dust Bowl situation ?
One of the main natural factors was a prolonged period of severe drought that affected the Great Plains region, particularly in the states of Oklahoma, Texas, Kansas, Colorado, and New Mexico.
The rapid expansion of agriculture in the Great Plains during the early 20th century led to the widespread cultivation of the land and the removal of native grasses, which had previously helped stabilize the soil.
Farmers practiced extensive plowing and planting of crops, including wheat, without proper conservation techniques, which further exposed the soil to erosion.
