"Water dripping down my face as my parents barged into my room. My parents, former police officials began a hunt for substances. Word had gotten out that I stashed 50 grammes of "coke" in my room, So now standing stiff, I prayed to my grandfather that my parents won't touch the wall!"

I believe you are writing a narrative essay, right? In that case, the best possible thing to do in this situation, is to back up the clock to earlier that day for the middle paragraphs, and then let it continue to present time, and in the final paragraph, you end the story.
