Answer: x=1

Explanation:

11-2x+4=8+5x

Add similar numbers if they are on the same side of the equation.

15 - 2x= 8 +5x

Do the opposite of the side that you will be doing, so we will be using 15, and because 15 is a positive we will subtract 15 from that side. Then because we subtracted 15 from this side we have to subtract fifteen from the other side. (Not 5x because they are not similar.)

-2x= -7+5x

Do the same thing as above but with the 5x, so because 5x is positive change it to a negative and subtract on both sides. You're trying to get the five x all by itself.

-7x= -7

Then because x and -7 are multiplying we're going to separate them by division. Do it to one side you have to do it to the other side.

x=1 or 1x=1

It doesn't matter if you put a 1 in front of the x because anything multiplied by 1 equals itself.
