How can you describe the graph of the equation y= mx + b? Explain

mx is the slope. b is the y-intercept

Explanation:

the first thing you should always do is identify your slope this is key for graphing. remember your slope is b so what ever b is you locate that point in the x axis.

then whatever your slope is remember that it is rise over run so say your equation is y=3x+5 you plot the point on the y intercept which is 5. now 3x is your slope so you put it as a fraction to make it easier this is what it looks like in a fraction "3/1" so you go up 3 on the graph and over 1 because of rise/run
