The equation of the line is : y = 1/2x + 2

The equation of the line in slope-intercept form can be expressed in the form ;

  • y = bx + c
  • b = slope ; c = intercept

b = change in y / Change in x

  • Change in y = 2 - 0 = 2
  • Change in x = 4 - 0 = 4

The slope = 2/4 = 1/2

The intercept is the point where the line crosses the y-axis, From the graph, the Intercept is 2

Therefore, the equation of the line is : y = 1/2x + 2
