The general expression of line in the y intercept form is :

y = mx + b

The given expression is :

\begin{gathered} 3x\text{ +2y-18=0} \\ \text{ Simplify for y} \\ 2y\text{ =18-3x} \\ y=(18-3x)/(2) \\ y=9-(3)/(2)x \\ y=(-(3)/(2))x+9 \end{gathered}

Now for y intercept put x = 0

\begin{gathered} y=(-(3)/(2))x+9 \\ at\text{ x = 0} \\ y=(-(3)/(2))(0)+9 \\ y=9 \\ \text{ Thus, the y -intercept is y = 9} \end{gathered}

Answer : y = 9, (x,y) = (0,9)
