THis is a multiplication function.

ANSWER:

This means multiplying 2 hundreths times 3 tenths:

(2)/(100)\text{ }\ast\text{ }(3)/(10)\text{ = }(6)/(1000)

We can also say, the product of 0.02 and 0.3 is 0.006

This also means that 0.3 is added in 0.02 places. This is because multiplication can be defined as the repeated addition of numbers.

Example:

5 * 0.3 = 0.3+0.3+0.3+0.3+0.3 = 1.5 (This is just an example)
