To find the unit rate, we have to use the slope formula.


m=(y_2-y_1)/(x_2-x_1)

Let's replace the points (7, 14) and (8,16).


m=(16-14)/(8-7)=(2)/(1)

Hence, for each piece of chicken, it costs $2 dollars.
