The two given simultaneous equations have no Solution

How to solve simultaneous equations?

The two simultaneous equations are given as:

y = 3 - 5x ------(1)

5x + y - 1 = 0 ------(2)

Making y the subject in eq 2 gives:

y = -5x + 1 -----(3)

Now, the general form of the equation of a line in slope intercept form is:

y = mx + c

where:

c is y-intercept

m is slope

Thus, we see that the two given equations have same slope and as such are parallel to each other.

Thus, the equations have no solution
