Explanation:

Starting off with 16x4, which isolates the triangle and makes it a little bit easier, you'd get 64, which is the rectangle's area, (I got the 4 from the middle piece). That leaves you with the triangle, which I did 3x8 for, which is 24, usually with triangles you would divide that answer in half because a triangle is only half of the actual area, but since they're two identical triangles, it wasn't necessary.
