Given:

The initial speed of the bicycle is,

u=4\text{ m/s}

The final speed of the bicycle is,

v=15\text{ m/s}

The time interval is,

t=5\text{ s}

The acceleration is given as,

a=(v-u)/(t)

substituting the values we get,

\begin{gathered} a=(15-4)/(5) \\ =(11)/(5) \\ =2.2m/s^2 \end{gathered}

Hence the acceleration is 2.2 m/s^2.
