HELP ASAP!!! the formula for the volume of a cylinder is v = πr2h, where v is the volume, r is the radius, and h is the height. solve the formula for r, and then use it to answer the question. a cylindrical bucket contains 314 cubic inches of water. the height of the water is 4 inches. what is the radius of the bucket, to the nearest whole number? use 3.14 for π.

SOLUTION:

V=\pi r^2h

We want to make r the subject of the formula here,

\begin{gathered} r^2=(V)/(\pi h) \\ \\ r=\sqrt{(V)/(\pi h)} \end{gathered}

From the question,

V = 314 cubic inches, h = 4 inches.

We find the radius to be;

\begin{gathered} r=\sqrt{(314)/(4*3.14)} \\ \\ \\ r=√(25) \\ \\ r=5 \end{gathered}

Thus, the radius of the bucket is 5 inches
