Vinnie loves Oreo cookies and they were on sale this week. When he looked in the Sunday paper there was also a coupon. The sale price was 2/4.25 and he had a coupon for $0.35 off 2. How much was EACH package after coupons

Given:

The sale price for two packs of Oreo cookies for $4.25.

The coupon price is $ 0.35 off for two.

After applying the coupon,

\text{ \$}4.25-\text{ \$}0.35=\text{ \$}3.9

The price of the package of 2 is $ 3.9.

So, each package will cost,

\begin{gathered} \text{ \$3.9 for 2} \\ (3.9)/(2)=\text{ \$1.95} \end{gathered}

Therefore, the cost of each pack is $ 1.95.
