if you know your weight in newtons, how could you calculate your mass in kilograms? what formula would be used?

Weight is the gravitational force exerted on any body having mass.

The relation between mass and weight can be given by


W=mg

Here, W is the weight, m is the mass and g is the acceleration due to gravity.

The value of g is constant on earth and is independent of the mass of the object.

Thus, to calculate the mass in kilograms, known weight can be used as


m=(W)/(g)
