Let:

\begin{gathered} (x1,y1)=(6,8) \\ (x2,y2)=(1,5) \end{gathered}

The slope m is given by:

m=(y2-y1)/(x2-x1)=(5-8)/(1-6)=(-3)/(-5)=(3)/(5)
