The improper fraction is a fraction when the numerator is greater than or equal to the denominator

Given the number 4.2

It can be written as a mixed fraction as:

4.2=4+0.2=4+(2)/(10)=4(2)/(10)

And when converted to an improper fraction will become:

4(2)/(10)=(10*4+2)/(10)=(42)/(10)

So, the numerator will be equal to 42
