The length of the rectangular field is two times its breadth. If the perimeter of the field is 300m, find the length and breadth.

Answer:

Youu can call the breadth x and then, as the length is two times the breadth, it would be 2x.

So now when we call x to the breadth and 2x to the length we can do an equation, as we know the sum of the four sides is 300 meters, so

2x + 2x + x + x = 300

6x = 300

x = 300/6 = 50

We know that the breadth is 50m, and, the length, which is twice the breadth, would be 100m in this exercise.

SO in this case, the breadth is 50 meters and the length is 100 meters..
