The volume of steel used to make the cylindrical pipe is 27732.48cm³

Hollow shapes are geometric figures with empty interiors, like a ring or a donut.

They have boundaries but lack substance inside. The term is often used to describe shapes that are not solid or filled throughout.

The volume of the steel used to make the cylindrical pipe is calculated as;

volume of outer cylinder - volume of inner cylinder

Volume of outer cylinder = πr²h

= 3.14 × 26² × 32

= 67924.48 cm³

Volume of inner cylinder = πr²h

= 3.14 × 20² × 32

= 40192

volume of steel used in making the pipe = 67924.48 - 40192

= 27732.48cm³
