The diagonals of a parallelogram bisect each other. It means the segments, after bisection, are equal to each other.

From the figure, we can write:

\begin{gathered} 2u+2=5u-10 \\ \text{and} \\ 6=(v)/(3) \end{gathered}

We can solve the first equation and get the value of u:

\begin{gathered} 2u+2=5u-10 \\ 2+10=5u-2u \\ 12=3u \\ u=(12)/(3) \\ u=4 \end{gathered}

Solving the second equation, we find the value of v:

\begin{gathered} 6=(v)/(3) \\ 6*3=v \\ v=18 \end{gathered}

Answer:

u = 4

v = 18
