7 squared is 49. when using exponents, you don’t multiply the number times the exponent, you multiply the number times itself as many times as the exponent says. therefore, we multiply 7 times itself 2 times. 7*7=49.

Answer:

7^(2) =49

Explanation:

Exponents mean a number, or variable multiplying itself by what the power is.

Note:

7^(0) = 1\\7^(1) =7

In this problem, 7 is being multiplied to the power of 2. (7 · 7)

Solve:

7(7) = 49
