Since we are dealing with a right triangle, we can use trigonometric identity below


\begin{gathered} sin\theta=(O)/(H) \\ \theta\rightarrow\text{ interior angle} \\ O\rightarrow\text{ opposite side to}\theta \\ H\rightarrow\text{ hypotenuse} \end{gathered}

Therefore, in our case,


\begin{gathered} sin(45\degree)=(5)/(x) \\ \Rightarrow x=(5)/(sin(45\degree))=(5)/((1)/(√(2)))=5√(2) \end{gathered}

Thus, the answer is x=5sqrt(2), the second option
