The work done to reach a peak of 1,650 meters with a load of mass, m, obtained using the potential energy gained, is about m·16.2 kJ

How can the work done be found?; The work done by climbing a height is equivalent to the potential energy gained.

The potential energy, PE = Mass × Height × Acceleration due to gravity

Acceleration due to gravity, g ≈ 9.81 m/s²

The work done by climbing a peak (which is assumed to be the height reached) of 1650 meters, where the total mass taken up to the peak is m is therefore;

Work done = Potential energy, PE gained

Work done to reach 1,650 m = m × 1,650 × 9.81

m × 1,650 m × 9.81 = m·16,186.5 Joules,

m·16,186.5 Joules is about 16.2 kJ
