William is 4 times older than Ben. But when you add their ages together and subtract 8 the
answer is 67. How old is Ben?
( you must create equations and solve by substitution to receive credit)

• (x+y)-8= 67
• y × 4 = x
• y= 15
• Hence Ben is 15 years old
• 15×4= 60 years old
• Hence William is 60 years old
• Logic check: 60+15-8=67
• 75-8=67
• 67=67
