How to graph the line y=1/2x

Answer:

Explanation:

y = mx + b

m = slope (rise/run or y/x)

b = y intercept

x = variable

when there is no written "b" (y-intercept), the intercept is at y = 0, or the origin of the graph.

1/2 is the slope, because it is positive, it is going to increase when looking at the graph from left to right. so, starting at the origin, go up 1 and right 2 points, make a point there, rinse and repeat from that point.

then start at the origin again, go down 1 and left 2 to make the line towards the negative x's of the graph.

I hope this made sense lol
