For octan-1-ol which can also be called octanol with formula C8H17OH, the structural formula is as shown below;

b) The class of organic molecules that octan-1-ol falls in is alkanol or alcohol. This is due to the presence of the -OH group present in the molecule of octan-1-ol

c) Isomers are molecules having the same molecular formula but different structural formulas. For instance, the isomer of butane is n-butane and isobutane.

d) One of the isomers of octan-1-ol is 2-methylheptanol as shown below in the image attached;
