Explanation:

when we get a ratio, it means that the whole is split into the sum of the ratio elements of equally sized parts.

in our case we are dealing with

2 + 25 + 150 = 177

equally sized parts of the whole trip.

the whole trip is 796.5 km.

so, one part is

796.5/177 = 4.5 km

now, the bus segment of the trip gets 2 parts, the ferry segment 25 parts, and the train segment 150 parts.

so, to get the travel distance by train :

150 × 4.5 = 675 km

she traveled 675 km by train.

To find out how far Jamila traveled by train, you need to determine the share of the total distance that corresponds to the train part of the ratio.

The total ratio parts are \(2 + 25 + 150 = 177\).

The fraction representing the train distance is \(\frac{150}{177}\).

Now, multiply this fraction by the total distance traveled:

\[ \frac{150}{177} \times 796.5 \]

Calculate this to find the distance Jamila traveled by train.
