The rate in miles per hour is 1.8 miles in 1 hour

A rate is a measurement of one quantity's change in relation to another quantity.

It is often expressed as a ratio, indicating how much one quantity varies with respect to another, such as speed in miles per hour or cost per unit.

Example of rate is velocity , which is the rate of change of displacement with time.

3/5 of miles = 0.6 miles

1/3 of hours = 1/3 hours.

To calculate the number of miles in an hour we divide 0.6 by 1/3

= 0.6/1/3 = 0.6 × 3/1 = 1.8 miles in hour

Therefore, the rate is 1.8 miles in hour.
