The area of a circumference can be calculated with this formula:

C=2\pi r

Where "r" is the radius of the circle.

The area of a circle can be found with this formula:

A=\pi r^2

Where "r" is the radius of the circle.

If you solve for "r" from the formula of a circumference, you get:

r=(C)/(2\pi)

Knowing that:

\begin{gathered} C=62.8in \\ \pi\approx3.14 \end{gathered}

You get:

\begin{gathered} r=(62.8in)/((2)(3.14)) \\ \\ r=10in \end{gathered}

Knowing the radius, you can find the area of the circle:

\begin{gathered} A=(3.14)(10in)^2 \\ A=314in^2 \end{gathered}

The answer is:

A=314in^2
