Solution:

Given;

P(-24,-24),Q(-19,-19)

The distance d(P,Q) is;

\begin{gathered} d=√((y_2-y_1)^2+(x_2-x_1)^2) \\ \\ x_1=-24,y_1=-24,x_2=-19,y_2=-19 \\ \\ d=√((-19-(-24))^2+(-19-(-24))^2) \\ \\ d=√(50) \\ \\ d=5√(2) \end{gathered}

Also, the midpoint, M, is;

\begin{gathered} M=((x_1+x_2)/(2),(y_1+y_2)/(2)) \\ \\ M=((-24+(-19))/(2),(-24+(-19))/(2)) \\ \\ M=(-(43)/(2),-(43)/(2)) \end{gathered}
