A triangle is shown. The measure of an angle y° and z° are the exterior angles of triangle it is formed by extending two sides of the triangle. The triangle is with measures x°, 82°, and 54°. The measure angle y° is supplementary angle for measure angle x°. The measure angle z° is supplementary angle for measure angle x°. What is y?

The angular measure of y, given that it is a supplementary angle for measure angle x would be 136°

How to find the angle ?

The sum of the interior angles of a triangle is always 180 degrees. Therefore, you can find the measure of angle x° by subtracting the measures of the other two angles from 180°:

x° = 180° - (82° + 54°)

x° = 180° - 136°

x° = 44°

With the measure of angle x° as 44°, the measure of angle y°, which is its supplementary angle:

y° = 180° - x°

y° = 180° - 44°

y° = 136°

A triangle is shown. The measure of an angle y° and z° are the exterior angles of-example-1
