Given:

The system of equations is,

\begin{gathered} 2x+5y=0 \\ x+6y=14 \end{gathered}

First, find the points on both lines to draw the graph of the line.

Then find the point of intersection of the line.

\begin{gathered} 2x+5y=0 \\ x=0\Rightarrow y=0 \\ x=5\Rightarrow y=-2 \\ x=-10\Rightarrow y=4 \end{gathered}

And,

\begin{gathered} x+6y=14 \\ x=0\Rightarrow y=(7)/(3) \\ x=14\Rightarrow y=0 \\ x=-10\Rightarrow y=4 \end{gathered}

The graph is,

As the point of intersection is (-10,4).

The solution of the given system of equation is x = -10 and y =4

Solve the equation graphically and check the solution. 2x+5y=0. X+6y=14-example-1
