Answer:

Let s = length of a side of the square and

t = length of a side of the equliateral triangle.

3t = 6 + 4s

t = 4 + s

3(4 + s) = 6 + 4s

12 + 3s = 6 + 4s

s = 6, t = 10

The length of each side of the equliateral triangle is 10 inches, and the length of each side of the square is 6 inches.
