p(x)=5x^3+8x^2-3x+1

To evaluate it at x = -2 substitute x by -2 in p(x)

p(-2)=5(-2)^3+8(-2)^2-3(-2)+1

Now let us find its value

(-2)^3 = -2 * -2 * -2
