The range of a function is all values of y the function have.

So, looking at the elements (-7, 3), (-1, 6) and (8, -3), the y-coordinates of these points are 3, 6 and -3.

So the range of f(x) is:

\text{range}=\mleft\lbrace-3,3,6\mright\rbrace
