List of multiples of 3 in the interval:

3,6,9,12,15,18,21,24,27,30,33,36. (12 numbers)

The probability of choosing a number multiple of 3 is:

Number of multiples of 3 in the interval / Total number of values in the interval

12/36 (Replacing)

1/3 ( Simplifying the fraction)

The answer is 1/3.
